My Students
I teach kindergarten in a racially diverse Title I school that serves the needs of a broad range of learners. I have many countries and languages represented in my class; half are English learners. My students are curious and eager kindergartners. They ask many questions and engage each other daily.
My class is an engaging and student-centered environment where each child has individualized learning goals.
I work hard to provide a multileveled program for the multiple levels of learners in my room.
My Project
Scholastic News magazine is a longtime favorite in kinder classrooms. Kinder students are curious by nature, they have many questions and want to learn about the world around them from books and magazines. This resource answers many questions and it does so from a child's perspective.
Scholastic News magazines and nonfiction readers give young students the opportunity to learn about many science and social studies concepts.
They are the perfect resource for a multileveled kinder class.
The materials are just right for a kindergartener's emerging literacy skills and the topics compliment themes we study in kinder. This gives the students multiple opportunities to read and learn all year long.
