My students need read-along sets of books that are nonfiction and high interest. Gail Gibbons and National Geographic Kid Informational books are engaging and rich with vocabulary.
Today a reader, tomorrow a leader. My students are silly, smart, and very eager learners. Our leaders been building up reading skills. Some of my 23 kindergarteners are from low income families, while many are English learners. But all of them are loving children that enjoy learning. As our reading and writing skills develop, I would love to provide more non-fiction read alongs to help us further enhance our love for learning.
My students are book loving, avid readers, and enthusiastic learners.
Tapping into background knowledge and building upon it will help fuel their desire to learn. Please help my eager learners with their reading and encourage deeper learning.
My Project
Kids love non-fiction and not having the appropriate books, makes it hard for them to learn and be excited. Using these book sets daily in Readers Workshop & science will help develop vocabulary, fluency, and their thirst for knowledge.
These Gail Gibbons and National Geographic Kids books will help excite their minds and open up a new love of learning for them.
Utilizing the story sets on CD can allow small groups to focus on the same topic. It amazing to see them want to continue to research a topic they love and I believe these book sets will do that.
