My Students
My students are truly wonderful. Some students have special needs, some are advanced, and some are right in the middle. Most of my students have economic needs and will be first-generation college students. I love every single one of them, and I want to help them succeed in any way that I can.
The students in my class are unsure of how to apply literature to real life. That's why I want to add more nonfiction books to my classroom library.
My Project
I have a small classroom library that allows students the opportunity to look through books while in class and pick one for independent reading time. Many of my students feel that there are great fiction books, but they have not fully grasped the impact that a nonfiction book can have as well. While I have some nonfiction books already, there are not nearly as many as there are fiction. I want to offer a bit more balance for those who love to read nonfiction and for those that have yet to discover that they love to read nonfiction. You can make this happen!
