Can you imagine not being able to understand all of the "real world" reading materials you encounter everyday? I want to make sure that my students learn how to understand the reading materials they will encounter when they are adults.
My class is full of energetic fourth graders who attend a public elementary school in Nevada.
They love to socialize and share their knowledge with their friends and families. In addition, they like to read, and they are very eager to learn new facts about the world around them.
My Project
My class is full of energetic fourth graders who attend a public elementary school in Nevada. They love to socialize and share their knowledge with their friends and families. In addition, they like to read, and they are very eager to learn new facts about the world around them. Through this project, I am hoping to add fifty new non-fiction books to our classroom library. My hope is that these books will allow my students the opportunity to continue to explore the nonfiction topics that are written at their reading levels. In addition, I am requesting an interactive computer game called, "Plinko." This game will allow my students to play the game while increasing their grasp of nonfiction reading materials.
So often, students find reading to be dull and tedious.
With your help, I hope to provide my students with exciting reading materials that capture their interest and nurture their love of reading and learning.
