In our classroom, we have a beautiful group of students that come from different communities, families, and lifestyles. We have 14 6-7 year old students living in the Asheville area. In our classroom, we value our differences, sharing stories from our homes, our likes/dislikes, and who we are.
Our students love to learn and explore topics from all around the world.
We are a global school and encourage our students to learn with the world and not just about it.
My Project
These books will really help our students to learn more about different topics by reading books that are on their reading levels. It is often difficult for children to really absorb information about a topic when they are struggling to read the words. By providing them with books on their reading level, they will not only get to practice their reading, but also learn more about different topics.
Our students are moving from learning to read to reading to learn.
We want to open the door to new worlds and topics, such as life cycles, space, cultures, and animals and make them available for our students to learn more about.
