My Students
Everyone is a reader... some just haven't found their favorite book yet!
Our student population is composed of 95 students who are bright, creative, engaged, and have learned to enjoy reading throughout middle school.
This year, we are looking to expand our classroom library by adding more non-fiction choices, to vary independent reading options and sharpen student's non-fiction reading skills.
Many of our students are avid readers that would benefit from a larger selection of non-fiction selections within the classroom library. In order to reach students' true potential, it is imperative that they have access to all types of books throughout the year. These non-fiction books will include informational (historical/scientific) texts, argumentative pieces, biographies, and autobiographies.
My Project
These non-fiction titles will be available in my classroom library as soon as they are delivered. 8th grade students will be able to check out these books to read as their choice independent reading book at their leisure, and they will be available for 8th grade students for years to come!
Your donation will ensure that each student will have access to all types of non-fiction books, specifically the books that will get them excited about reading!
Students will use these choice books as a tool to improve their non-fiction reading skills, increase their interest in reading, and familiarize themselves with different types of text.
