Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

The classroom is in a high-need urban environment. The class is a fourth-grade science class.

We have very limited supplies and since it's an urban area, we have little access to green gardens or trees. The fourth graders have very limited access to outdoors and the environment.

My students need access to hydrolabs to be able to grow plants and learn how plants grow. The students will learn about plant systems, and then have the chance to do and see it for themselves.

These greenhouses will make it possible for my students to see real live plants growing in the city.
