Help me give my students materials from Teachers Pay Teachers for language arts, math and writing to be engaged and successful during this distance learning.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are beautiful and brilliant. Our class consists of multi-level learners. Our school is a high-poverty, Title I school, meaning that one hundred percent of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. A fraction of my students are homeless, and many of my other students have houses or apartments they share with one or more families. Some of my students do not have a bed to sleep on. This pandemic has hit my students badly.
Our school is located in a high-poverty neighborhood.
Out of 90 students, only 5 has access to technology to complete work.
We have had to rely on pencil and paper work the old fashioned way. We value our learning time.
My Project
My students need materials from Teachers Pay Teachers to help them become better writers, mathematicians and readers. The activity stations will allow students to work on developing their foundational skills in reading and writing. It will give them other options to utilize during the day at home. Students will be able to respond to prompts and complete a quick writing response. They will be able to reflect and see their growth in their journal. The writing prompt boxes will allow students to gain ideas and activities to practice their writing.
