No Smoking Please!
My students need the model of a clogged artery and a giant cigarette to show the effects of tobacco.
Eighth grade is a big year in a child's life, My students will soon be moving up to the high school. I need to try to help my students realize that the decisions they make today will effect their future.
Our Middle School is a diverse high-needs school, comprised of over 1,000 students in grades 6 to 8.
Half of our student population currently receives free or reduced priced lunch. Approximately half of our students receive support services in addition to their core classes. Many of our students are not native English speakers.
When I teach the tobacco unit, I try to bring all of my lessons to life because the effects of tobacco are real and my students need to understand that. I want to open up my students eyes to see that if they are tempted to smoke or use tobacco products it can have everlasting negative effects on them.
These donations will help wake up my students to the effects of tobacco.
By using these different tools to show my students how tobacco can negatively effect them, we can help save their lives.
