This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students come from low-income families.

Our school is a great environment that is inspiring students to be great leaders through The Leader In Me program.

My students engage with each other in different centers every day.

They are limited to the supplies that they have access to at school and at home. They love to play and use their imaginations. Their developmental skills in math are lacking from those of the same chronological age.

My Project

We would love to have the entire Sense of Place Home living Set for our home living center. An actual Fridge to put items in that belong in a fridge. A fireplace that looks similar to some that we have seen in movies. A kitchen with a faucet because our faucets are always broken. A to complete the ensemble a kitchen island with stools and a farmhouse table with benches. A sense of place home living center would foster so many great different conversations with one another each day during our center time.
