This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The Montessori classroom is a unique environment with many wonderful hands-on materials. After years of use, some of those materials just wear out. Our Math Tower material is definitely showing signs of wear and tear. We need a new Lower Elementary Set.

The Math Tower material from Conceptual Learning was developed to maximize the use of math manipulatives and to bridge the gap between concrete and abstract.

The material is at four levels and perfect for the multi-age, multi-ability classroom. Rather than focusing on calculations; exercises solidify and extend concepts through series of short, thought-provoking exercises. By building math intuition and number sense the hard math suddenly becomes easy.
