The students in my classroom are diverse in many different ways. Their backgrounds vary along with their home situations. Our community is very caring and supporting, so the good news is that the students are in very good care when they attend our school. We have an engaging and supportive staff that are willing to go the extra mile when needed.
These kids are the best and deserve wonderful experiences.
The students love exposure to new material and would love to have a positive experience with STEAM materials.
My Project
I would like to implement a daily morning tub system. A morning tub system would foster a positive classroom environment that allows collaborative learning. The tubs would be an alternative learning plan in place of morning worksheets. Students would still be learning but in a hands on way that promotes socialization at the same time. This creates a win-win environment for all especially when students do not enter the classroom at the same time in the morning. The tub system will allow students to make choices and will foster creative thinking too! This is a great way to begin mornings.
