My students need the book Bullying in Schools to read as a group and 5 Kindles to share to read more books on bullying and how to stop it.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
Bullying is becoming a very serious issue in schools today. My students need more resources to help them identify and combat bullying.
I have 21 students in my class all day as well as 4 students that I work with from other classes on reading skills.
All of my students are very bright but many are below grade level in reading skills due to difficult economic situations at home which leave very little for academic advantages such as books, paper, and pencils. We are a Title 1 school with over 93% receiving free lunch everyday.
I am requesting 23 copies of Bullying in Schools to read as a class to help students identify and combat bullying. When students have low self-esteem, they are easy targets for bullies as well as potential bullies. By helping students to recognize bullying and the causes, we can begin to find ways to stop it. I am also requesting 5 basic Kindles so we can read other books about bullying and self-esteem.
This project is so very important to these students because bullying causes severe obstacles to student learning.
If we can combat the underlying issues of bullying, students will be able to focus more on academics.
