This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach a self-contained special education class. All of my students have learning goals that are specifically tailored to meet their unique learning needs. Our classroom has a dual task of exposing my students to the general education curriculum and providing practice and mastery of their IEP goals.

My highly structured and individualized classroom is the perfect place for my students to learn and grow.

My students are at least two years behind grade level so it is important for us to have the resources and tools ready to go, so we can meet their learning needs.

My Project

As it gets closer to the end of the year our school supplies sometimes run short. Lately, my students have been reporting that our bathrooms do not have hand soap.

In this project I am requesting hand soap so my students can properly wash their hands after visiting the bathroom.

It is important that my kids have clean hands all day so they do not carry around germs that might get them and others sick. I also want my students to be able to wash their hands before eating lunch or breakfast.

I am also requesting surface cleaners and spray bottles so we can clean the classroom.
