Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are inquisitive and motivated to learn. They enjoy to challenge themselves and are not afraid to try new things inspire their difficulties. They come ready to learn everyday and are always ready to tackle challenges that have helped them to grow academically and
socially.
My class is composed of 18 students in 3rd to 4th grade. They are all part of the Special Education Day program. They all come from limited socio-economic backgrounds with parents/ guardians who worked more than 1 job to provide the best for them.
Each of them are extremely talented and eager to succeed. In our classroom, we incorporate a myriad of strategies to reach all modalities of learning. My students are an inspiration!
My Project
Having a class set of softball gloves will provide each of my students the opportunity to practice not only teamwork skills but also their gross motor skills and hand to eye coordination. My students' physical education period will be a lot more exciting by learning to play a sport and work in teams while having fun. By implementing softball as a sport during Physical education, will help my students to build character and sportsmanship. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student sportsmanship and character, you will ultimately help to increase their social skills.
