Hooray! This project is fully funded
My English I classroom is a safe place to discover new things about the people in our lives, in literature, and out there in the world. In our next unit, we will be exploring the world of Romeo and Juliet. Most ninth graders would scoff at this thought, but my students are ready and willing to dive in. I can't wait to take this adventure with them as a first year teacher! Please, if you can, help me reach my goal!
My students need copies of the; No Fear Shakespeare; edition of Romeo and Juliet. This copy has the original text from the play side-by-side with a colloquial English version. These "No Fear Shakespeare" books will be the ultimate tool to help my ninth graders conquer Shakespeare AND feel confident doing so! Many of my students were affected by Hurricane Harvey and have to choose between purchasing school supplies and necessities. I am requesting a class set of materials for all of my classes to share - so these 30 books will reach 120 students. Plus, I know my school will be able to use this class set for years to come!
I want my students to have the scaffolding they deserve to understand and master the wise words of Shakespeare.
