My students are creative thinkers, dreamers, and innovators. They are eager to learn and grow and have valuable experiences in school to help them develop skills for high school, college, and the workforce.
I specifically teach students who want to learn about media arts, music production, video editing, etc.
I want to give these students the most current resources available so they can enter into the work field knowledgeable and prepared. I want them to have every opportunity to create and showcase their work and projects. My students come from a variety of different backgrounds. Special needs, Gifted and Talented, English language learners and multitudes of different learning disabilities. We are a suburban school with students from a variety of different ethnicities and household incomes.
All of our students are one of a kind. They are all someone's child, grandchild, friend, etc. I want to support them and nurture their love of learning. My goal is for them to love coming to class and love learning new and exciting things. I want them to have a different learning experience than they have had in the past, something that inspires them and helps them grow as 21st century learners and students.
My students have been working on creating weekly newscasts for our school. I want them to look as professional as possible! We have created a small studio space but need a microphone to record. We would also like to create a logo and use the vinyl to place on the tablecloths to cover the student desks when filming.
I am so excited for my students to have this opportunity and want to provide them with all the materials necessary to make it an authentic experience for everyone including our audience members.
With your help and these materials students will be able to film, edit and share a professional styled newscast. Students are eager to film and showcase their work within the school as well as our community!
