Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have the pleasure of teaching 16 students. They love learning new things and enjoy being at school. We are constantly working together to create an environment that is loving, kind, and hard-working. My students are always wanting to help each other and their teacher. I feel that speaks a lot about their character because they are constantly putting other people first. My students are learning how to share, work together, learn together, and talk through their problems. They are doing a great job for being five and six years old.

My Project

Our classroom has recently undergone a major makeover. We now have no desks with the freedom to move about the classroom more easily. I have, however, noticed that the two table I do have the in the classroom are high off the ground and a lot of the students are choosing to sit on the ground with cushions and/or pillows. With this low-to-the-ground table, I know the students will love having this option to work with vs. always using the clip-boards. I also love the sitting desks I found on Amazon. These resources will really help our students continue working successfully with their choice in mind.
