My students need dry erase boards, dry erase markers, and erasers.

Hello friend, come on up and join me. Look out over this well-worn podium with its plethora of discarded Expo markers. Can you see them? Those bright young faces? That motley band of 11- and 12-year old hard workers and high achievers? They represent untapped fountains of talent, creativity, and intelligence. And I have the privilege of being their 6th-grade math teacher!
"It's not that I'm so smart; it's just that I stay with problems longer, said Albert Einstein -- and so do my students when they are working with their INDIVIDUAL DRY ERASE BOARDS AND MARKERS!
These students put their heads together at long tables in a crowded, but friendly classroom in South Georgia. They work incredibly hard, try their best to please, and they are the reason I love my job! Our class motto is "Go and Make It Better!" They take the challenge very seriously, and I feel good about our future when I'm with them.
I believe in keeping students engaged and active from bell to bell! We change on a block schedule, and it is hard to keep 11- and 12-year-olds attentive and focused on Math for 110 minutes! One way I can ensure the active participation of every student is to let them "show what they know" as we work through the lesson.
Using Individual Dry Erase Boards lets the whole class "speak at once" without disrupting the learning process.
It also allows me to see at a glance who needs additional instruction and who understands. Even shy students who are afraid to speak up will hold up an answer and eagerly wait for a "thumbs up" or a "you've got it" from me. My students need Dry Erase Boards, Dry Erase Markers, and Erasers.
