We are a magnet high school in New Haven, CT, that serves the city, as well as the suburbs surrounding it. Our students choose to come to our school to study either business or allied health. All students qualify for free lunch and often receive fee waivers for standardized testing.
Our students are some of the most interesting and driven kids you will ever meet.
Many students travel over an hour to attend our school and take advantage of the opportunities we offer. Many also come to school despite the many challenges they might face outside of the school environment.
My Project
Studies show that when ninth graders are on track by having all their credits at the end of their first year, they are on track to graduate in four years.
Struggling in ninth grade sets up kids to struggle for four long years.
Help us help them be successful at their first time taking mid-term exams. We are going to have a night to teach kids how to study and prepare for mid-terms. Students will come after school to learn and study with friends while having snacks; all who attend will be part of a raffle for an Amazon Echo Dot and other donated prizes. Any help helps them.
