Help me give my students a trip to Niabi Zoo so they can experience their programs about animal adaptations and habitats as well as learn about careers with animals.

My Students

My students are Sophomores through Seniors. Our school had dropped our Zoology program due to cuts in staff, but these students wanted to see this class brought back into our curriculum. Because of them we have Zoology again!

Many of my students want to work with animals after they graduate from High School.

They are an eager bunch that love learning about all kinds of animals, but would love the opportunity to learn about other animals not in their area.

My Project

We will be learning about animal adaptations and habitats as well as careers having to do with animals from the staff of Niabi Zoo. This will give my students to interact with actual people that work with animals on an everyday basis.

We need funding to help with the cost of the tours, transportation, and lunch.

This trip will provide an excellent way to cultivate a love for animals in the students and engage them in a way we can't within the school.

I am hoping this project will help wrap up a year of learning about animals in a positive way for these students.
