This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students work hard to be strong and capable students. Our school is located in a low socioeconomic area which can limit students, especially in the field of science. Students in my classroom are engaged and provided with a positive learning environment.

Students enjoy the hands-on lessons through real world situations in our NGSS driven classroom.

The shift in standards for science allows us to provide a rich learning environment with the addition of engineering to our curriculum.

My Project

We currently have access to over-sized basic headphones through our amazing school, but I know over time these can break or stop working. With our new Next Generation Science Standards curriculum, technology is the focus in my classroom, so having the proper materials is important.

Starting small, I would like to add new headphones to our classroom to help with online learning.

Headphones are used almost daily in my classroom, and it is important to have headphones that are reliable. I know that today's students would rather use simple earbuds then the over-sized options we have for them.
