My Students

A lot has happened in science since 2006! Our outdated science textbooks only allow my students to learn the "basic" concepts of science. Boring! My students want authentic, real world lessons that "Science World" presents.

Our school is a Title 1 school where approximately 90% of students qualify for free and/or reduced meals.

We are a very small rural community. My students crave authentic real world lessons. Most of my students do not have the resources for individual subscriptions.

My Project

"Science World" ties current science news that relates to "our" world not an outdated textbook. With this subscription, students will be able to access free online resources. It also has links to extra videos and interactive websites. The teacher's guide has detailed lesson plans and links to more resources. There are also guided questions to check students' understanding.

My students crave authentic, real world lessons.

I would be able to use this magazine to bring background knowledge to launch project based learning activities. Please help supplement our outdated textbooks with "Science World" subscriptions.
