This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students light up my world with their eagerness to learn and gain knowledge. Although they are faced with challenges because of their socioeconomic status, they manage to push themselves to the limit and give me their all.
Our daily promise to each other is to always give your best and learn something new every day.
The love and bonds I have built with them will be lifelong. My school is a Title I school so most of my students have experienced difficulties and struggles. My students are grateful and appreciate all I try to do to make their learning fun and enjoyable.
My Project
The Scholastic Magazines will allow my students to explore world events around the world that affect their everyday lives. It is important for my students to see the world from the perspective of others as a means to develop empathy for those whose experiences are different from their own.
These magazines will give my students the opportunity to engage and learn about events within their world.
Exposing my students to current events is essential and supports personalized learning experiences for them. These magazines give my students a chance to make connections to other children and events world outside of their community.
