My students attend a Title I school where 100% of the students are on free or reduced lunch. The majority of my students are of Hispanic heritage. A great deal of my students are not fluent in English. Our school was affected by Hurricane Harvey and we want to use technology to study the affects of Harvey on our school.
My students are so eager to start their engineering club and they want to design their own t-shirts because they are costly to buy being Harvey had devastated our city.
My students are so full of life and I love watching them learn. I know that this project will assist them in be creative to make their own t-shirts and not have to pay so much for them. My students are very excited to have an opportunity to bring more technology into the classroom.
We just started our Engineering club and I have need a few things in order for our club to be more effective. The students are very creative and they will receive an opportunity to explore science, engineering, math and technology at their pace and in a way that will be real world to them. My students will be designing video games, smart mirrors, security systems, they will learn to solder as well as 3D print products to sell to help fund their 6th grade trip.
We are started a 6th grade Engineering club and our students are so exciting about the possibility of creating and we need the tools to create new or improved products to be used in the real world.
My students will be given a task to complete in their own way as they explore many phase of the scientific process. They will grow from experiencing failures and successes along the way. My students will use the Cricut machine to design their own Engineering Club tshirts and they will use the Cricut cutting mat to cut them out. They will use the Ipad charging cart to keep Ipads charge and ready for use each day for presentations. They will use the projector to make presentations anywhere on the go. They will use the Samsung printer to print out their projects and designs and the ink cartridges to replenish the printer. They will use the ASUS chromebooks to design their 3D printing projects. They will use the Epson ink cartridges to replenish the ink.
