Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Last year was my first year teaching and now coming into this new year I have a better understanding of what my students need in order to make learning as smooth as possible. Our class lacks some basic materials suck as the folders. Students will use these folders to store unfinished assignments and create a space for their work throughout the year (yearly portfolio). My students also lack writing/coloring materials such as markers. Throughout the year students create posters, art projects, take daily notes where markers make color coding and decorating easier for students. With the laminating pouches my students will be able to laminate their book covers for the various writing activities throughout the year. For example, in the beginning of the year students will write a fictional narrative. Once thy finish their stories, students will create a book cover which is laminated and turned into a spiral bound book. Students will use the white boards throughout the year to show their thinking in lessons. With all these supplies, my students will be ready for success and start this new school year off in the right direction.
