My students are greeted at the door every single morning. They are asked how their day is and they immediately run to greet their classmates. They are reminded throughout the day that they are role models, as they are constantly setting an example for others.
My classroom is full of 26 energetic students who see the bright side in everything they do.
They come from a low-income neighborhood and many from Spanish-speaking families. Although they come from a low-income neighborhood, they have a tremendous amount of potential to be leaders one day!
My students need some new supplies to get a new school year started off on the right foot. We need crayons and pencils for just about every part of our day. Our reading, writing, and math activities all involve using paper and pencil at some point in the lesson. Students draw and then add color as a way to add detail to everything they do. My students also like to explore and create artistically. They will use the pompoms and craft sticks to create STEM-based projects.
These materials will allow my students to be creative as they start their new school year!
