Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I love teaching my students in the South Bronx. Every year, I work to create a positive classroom culture where students can study and analyze history. The best part is seeing my students learn, debate, engage, and enjoy learning history.
My students are the reason why I teach everyday.
They are eager to learn, collaborate, and succeed. My students want to show the world that even though the odds may be against them coming from the South Bronx, they can still achieve anything that they work for!
My Project
They say go big, or go home, so I'm going big! There are many items that are listed, and I have big plans for next year. Reams of paper, highlighters, and flashcard rings will help me create and organize effective and rigorous worksheets for my students. Colorful letters will be used to brighten up walls, bulletin boards, and hallway space. Flags will be put up as students will represent different countries in a variety of simulations throughout the year. And the rolls of film will be perfect for taking portraits of my students as they set their goals for next year.
These are only some of my plans for next year.
