I have a wonderful group of first-grade students. My students are curious, energetic and eager learners. Many different languages are spoken in our classroom which makes learning time fun and interesting.
I teach at a very diverse school in MN.
My school is classified as a high-poverty school with many students on the free or reduced-price lunch program.
My students have a wide variety of abilities, interests, and challenges. From learning support students to English language learners, I am here to teach them all and give them the best education possible that meets their unique needs!
My Project
At my school 6 out of 10 students are enrolled in a federal nutrition program and their families are classified as living below the poverty line.
The costs of stocking up with school supplies place a real burden on some families.
I like to have extras of the necessary supplies on hand to help families in need.
I am asking for extra crayons, markers, colored pencils and glue sticks for this purpose. These materials will all be used by our classroom community. Shared supplies make sure everyone in the classroom has what they need to be successful during the school day.
