My Students

I have not yet met my students for next year, but I already know I am going to love all 22 of them! My students are in fourth grade and range between 9-10 years-old. Working at a Title I school means that many of the students in my classroom come from low income homes or may have an usual home situation. I want to be sure to provide the best education I can for all my students regardless of their financial struggles or difficult home-life!

My Project

Going into my fourth year as a fourth grade teacher, I have found that there are several different supplies that are necessary to have a happy, full, successful classroom. Many of my students do not come to school with our their required supplies and not mention we know how quickly supplies can come and go in the class! Being able to have things such as tape, paper, loose leaf paper, staples, post-its, folders, and wite-out before school even begins allows my classroom to start off READY TO LEARN. I have also added a foam mat for students to be able to use as a rug to sit in the library area to enjoy a book during read-to-self and a pocket chart to designate centers for easy viewing for the students. This project will allow for my students and the class to have all the necessary supplies to have the most successful FOURTH GRADE YEAR!
