This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The students in my class are in a low-income/high poverty school district. Students in our class range from those with preschool experience to those with no school experience. There is a variety of learning styles in our class. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to make my students fall in love with learning.
These kindergartners are eager to learn.
They take pride in their academic growth and love to show what they can do.
My Project
Each year we are faced with a lack of essential school supplies to have productive lessons beginning the first day of school. My students are each provided with supply bags for our mourning routine. This bag will hold dry erase markers for writing practice on white boards. Steno pads are for writing practice as well crayons and flair pens. The supplies chosen were picked to help us have an easy transition into the new school year. The paper will be for printing homework and class practice sheets. Laminating sheets, tape , and labels will be used to personalize our class for each student. These items will surely benefit our class.
