I feel a great responsibility to provide authentic learning experiences for the young minds that cross through my door each day. The students at my school are hard-working and in need of engagement and motivation. They are kind-hearted and resilient.
More than 80% of the students at my school come from poverty.
All of my students receive free lunch. Parental involvement in my classroom is tricky because most of my children come from a broken or struggling family. My students are my world, and I want school to be their favorite place to be.
This year I am blessed to be able to move to a larger classroom. With a larger classroom, I will have more space for flexible seating options, like these side chairs, for my students. I already have the work spaces, but I will need chairs. My students also need the plastic snap envelopes to hold their guided reading materials.
My students will be able to take their guided reading materials with them to continue reading after they've left my group.
This will also help them keep track of which book they are working on. I plan to pre-pack the envelopes with each students' differentiated word work.
We would be blessed to have your donation and thank you in advance. If you donate, be prepared to receive cute thank you letters and pictures from my students. We appreciate you!
