My kindergarten students and I have an excitement and love for learning, but sitting at our desks is not our favorite way to learn. We enjoy moving around the room and exploring.
Each student in my classroom absolutely loves learning and the method and environment in which they learn best, varies greatly.
I incorporate a variety of learning strategies and alternative learning options to ensure that each student’s needs are met.
My students come to school each day ready to learn and explore new things. I have a love for teaching and they have a love for learning.
My Project
Our classroom is in need of a new, clean, radiant, colorful rug. We are in need of an inviting carpet to provide the perfect place to serve as a spacious meeting place for numerous class gatherings together.
This carpet will serve as a place for the whole class for morning meetings, reading lessons, math lessons, music time, calendar time, and it will give each student a spot to have as their own.
Our current rug is over 8 years old, it has several different color circles that have since become faded and lost there radiance due to many washings along with numerous stains that we have not been able to remove. The colors have become so worn that the students struggle with identifying the purple circles as they have become dark, more brownish color circles. This new carpet is colorful and has different shapes and colors in a various array of rows.
Classroom rugs serve as a great classroom management tool. It allows us to switch up our spot for learning as kindergartners need movement breaks every 15-20 minutes. The carpet gives us an additional space to gather and gives each student his or her own personal space.
We would love a new rug to complete the warmth of our classroom and continue to make our classroom an enjoyable place to be.
