New Year, New Materials

Help me give my students individual materials, task cards, and curriculum-specific activities! With the new year came a new curriculum and lots of things that will need to be printed and created for student use!

My Students

My students are the best! I am sure everyone says that, but let me tell you why they actually are. My classroom is a self-contained practical application life skills classroom. We have a differentiated classroom; meaning my students have a broad range of needs! We all learn together and in our classroom, we believe that everyone can learn the same thing with a little help! Our class is located in a Title I school, and we have learned to do a lot with a little. My student population is of low income and primarily multi-children families. We do not often have the daily supplies we need, let alone the things that we need to grow and expand the way we learn.

Our school and community do not have the funds to help our classroom personally, but we all agree that should not stop us from trying to create the best learning environment possible for our class!

Our class loves learning and growing; whether that be working in our school garden, cooking, learning life skills, developing independence, and tabletop writing!

My Project

Our new year has started with a new curriculum! We are beyond in love with this new system, but it requires heavy color printing needs! Due to the new curriculum, we will need to make new curriculum-specific materials such as flashcards, vocabulary cards, photo sequencing, manipulatives, leveled text, and assessments! These materials will be used for student individual needs, small group instruction materials, and whole group instruction materials! These materials will be used to reach all subject areas, functional, and life skills for both of our PALS units. These materials will serve students in kindergarten to fifth grade in our self-contained units.
