My Pre-K students are inquisitive young children who love to learn and explore. They thrive on learning new things. The looks on their faces when they learn something new is priceless.
I am fortunate enough to teach 23 of the most amazing Pre-K students in Maryland.
The charter school I teach at is located in a high poverty area, but that certainly does not stop us from making sure our students have all the tools they need to be successful, well-rounded children.
One school year is coming to an end and with that comes broken crayons, dried out markers, and empty glue and paint bottles. These are all signs of a busy and productive school year. In a few short months, 23 new Pre-k students will enter my classroom and they will need supplies.
I want my students to feel welcome, respected, and loved as soon as they enter my classroom.
I want them to know that there are materials ready for them to use, even if their families are unable to provide for them.
Through this project, students will get crayons, markers, and glue to use daily. The multicultural paper will be used for many projects celebrating the diversity among us. Finger paints will be used throughout the year for students to create art. Please help me help my students get the materials they will need.
