My students need a variety of science and math hands-on materials including a Classroom Microscope Set, a Cross Section Flower Model, protectors, Foam Fraction Circles, and Fraction Tower Cubes.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are the life of my classroom. They are eager, energetic, charismatic, gregarious, yet curious individuals. My students are special because the majority of them come from poverty areas, but they still strive to be the best they can be in and outside of my classroom. My students take the initiative to always help one another, especially if a student is struggling. They take my classroom slogan think outside the box literally. They're always trying to make a difference!
My Project
This is my first year teaching fourth grade math, science, and social studies. These materials will provide my students a chance to learn using real-life scenarios.
Safety Goggles are mandatory in science and ensure that students protect their eyes.
Before any experiment, all students must wear appropriate eyewear. To support our botany studies I need the foam Cross Section Flower Model which labels the different parts of a tulip flower. The Gallon Measurement Set will be used by students to convert different units of liquid measurements. Also, the microscopes in the Classroom Microscope Set will be used by students to examine tiny objects up close.
In math, students will use the protractors to learn how to measure angles. We'll use the Fraction Circles and Fraction Tower Cubes to understand fraction values.
