I have approximately 130 8th grade language arts students. These students come from various socioeconomic backgrounds, many who are on the free and reduced lunch program. Many are unable to bring the school supplies that we need in the classroom on a daily basis.
I want to provide my students with the best classroom experience that I can.
Having the necessary supplies in my classroom will help make each day a positive experience for my students. Having supplies readily available in class gives the students one less thing to worry about.
My Project
Having organizational materials, pencils, and notebooks at the beginning of the school year will be crucial to my students success. The organizational items will be great in my student areas. I love to start the year off helping the students get and stay organized.
Most students cannot afford basic supplies; having these to give them from day one will help ensure they have a successful year!
Something as simple as giving the students pencils and tape when they need it, helps them focus on the learning that should be taking place in the classroom. It is the little things that help a school year be the best that it can be!
