This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We have hit the mid year milestone! My second graders have been working very hard to learn their basics. Sometimes it is tough for us as 100% of my students are from an underserved community; they all live under the poverty line.
After the newness of the school year wore off, our classroom materials dwindled.
At this time we are in dyer need of crayons, expo markers, anchor chart paper, magic markers, 8x10 white paper, pencils. notebooks, erasers, glue sticks. scissors and folders.
Please help my kids start 2019 with all the tools they need to complete their school year successfully.
My Project
At this point in the year our classroom resources have been exhausted. My kids need notebooks, crayons, paper...all the basics needed to write, chart, journal, work on a daily basis for the next 6 months. Being a school in an underserved community, every bit helps. My children have a unique set of challenges that would seem quite unbelievable in 2018. I provide what I can, but 23 kids is a tall order for just one teacher. With your kindness my little scientists can be equipped come the new year to take on their second semester of second grade. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
