My students need journals and pencils to record their thoughts and show their growth in reading and phonics. They need crayons to illustrate these ideas. The dot stampers will help us master letters.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
This is a bright and active group of five and six year-olds. They love to create and tell stories. They love to read and be read to. They are quickly learning to work together, which is a vital skill in our world. My children work in small groups and independently throughout the day.
We grow in all areas by practicing and playing together.
Writing throughout the day in science, social studies, math, and even in art helps us in so many ways. We get noisy, but learn so much together. We need supplies to grow as readers writers and illustrators. We need to show the colors of our ideas. There is so much to learn.
My Project
Kindergarten is a time to master words and how to put your ideas into print. It's a time to work together and learn to use your environment to support your growth. With these journals and pencils, my minders will get to practice all the sounds and words they know. With the crayons, these ideas all be colorful and more enjoyable to the readers.
We need the supplies to experiment with our learning.
The dot stampers will be used to stamp out the letters and numbers we are studying. The whole project is planned to support our reading and writing skills. With these supplies we will be authors and illustrators.
