My Project

I love teaching middle school math. Some concepts we teach need to be taught with a calculator that can’t combine fractions for them, or simplify square roots for them. Sometimes a phone calculator has been working sometimes, but I can’t monitor all of the calculator phone usage as more middle schoolers have phones, and with growing numbers I can’t easily squeeze through desks to check on everyone.

A new scientific calculator class set would make a world of difference in 7 out of 12 units in my 7th grade classes and 4 out of 12 units in my 8th grade classes.

I teach study skills classes, co-teach math classes with the SPED teacher, and teach regular and honors math classes.
