Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The mission of my school is to provide a socio-economically, culturally and racially diverse community of students with an exceptional public education.
Our children are growing, inquisitive, and learning new tools to make sense of the world around them.
My students are 1st graders who are beginning to take a bigger and important role; that will prepare and transition them to become second graders in the later half of the year.
As a classroom that loops from 1st to 2nd grade, students learn and accommodate to their surroundings with a more comfortable take on learning. Students learn from each other more and become much more responsible as the year passes by. Students are caring and understanding of one another because of their longer stay in the classroom with their peers and their teacher.
My Project
Students need more than just an easel to help them visually see and learn. A new whiteboard will help them (and the teachers) put more ideas in a bigger slate.
Students will be more engaged when projecting technology to the whiteboard.
Both first grade classrooms are in need of a great whiteboard that will definitely support student learning.
This will be a way to be more interactive with the students. Students will be able to come up, write, check and explain with much ease. (This includes the teachers as well.)
As technology is such a big part of a classroom, having the right whiteboard to support that technology really would make a difference. The students and teachers will definitely thank you for your generous contribution.
