This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The elementary school students at my school are unlike students anywhere else in the world. They are uniquely wonderful in all aspects of their being. They attend a Title I school in a rural area of North Carolina.
In the past year, our school has implemented an intervention block, club day, and AVID, broadening our student experiences and creating new and exciting learning opportunities.
Our goals this year are especially targeted on closing the achievement gap through access to materials and resources.
My Project
My students love new series and new additions to existing series. Please help support my builds as they work their building their love of reading for pleasure by funding our project for books. Our school media center has a limited amount of district and state funding. Our students need access to new and relevant books that hold their interest. These books will make a difference by my students by exposing them to new authors and titles as well as new series. These books range in diversity, topic, genre, and reading level. Students throughout our school will have access to these books.
