My students love using technology to enhance their learning experience. Bringing technology into the curriculum every day allows students to be engaged in the lessons.
In my classroom, we have new curriculum that has wonderful online components that will enhance the lessons.
With newer technology , students will be able to participate in the lessons in a new way. My second grade students are very culturally diverse. The school now has more than 550 students and is continuing to grow. We have a large population of English language learners.
My Project
By having a Surface Go and a wireless adapter, I will be able to utilize the internet options provided by the new curriculum to enhance my students' learning. The students will be using the Surface Go in whole class and small group lessons. For example, they may use online flash cards to sort words based on their spelling patterns or vowel sounds.
Bringing technology into the students' hands during whole group lessons will engage students in their learning.
Students love to use technology that is available to them, and will love to use the resources that are available with our new curriculum during the lessons. In addition, the new headphones will replace broken headphones that are used during academic time on iPads that we have already. The two additional wireless adapters will be used by my grade-level partners.
