My classroom has students from various backgrounds and face daily struggles most people cannot understand. Despite these day-to-day challenges, they are incredible young adults who are enthusiastic, caring, and are eager to work together to support each other. I am eager to provide them with an environment that will help them thrive.
Middle school is a difficult time as these students begin the transition from childhood to adults.
I am working to create a learning environment that will incorporate technology into the classroom. As the school year is just underway and I am getting to know my students; I could not be more excited to teach a group of amazing young adults with unlimited, untapped potential.
My Project
These materials will make a dramatic difference in the lives of my students. Currently our technology is outdated and does not always work. To be able to have two new computers will change the way we are able to present information to them. They will also be able to come up at lunch or recess and use them to complete assignments. The document cameras will make small group instruction easier. It will allow us to project work under the camera and onto a screen so the students can easily read and see what we are presenting to them. These materials will help them learn and retain historical content.
