Help me give my students materials that will allow me to become successful as a first year teacher. These materials will help me help my students become more successful with their learning.
In my classroom, there are 21 hardworking, bright, caring, energetic students. They come from a variety of backgrounds and family dynamics. At my elementary school, 94% of students fall in as poverty status and 10% of the students are homeless.
The students in my classroom are all capable of learning and are able to set goals, make plans and reach these goals with hard work.
My students come to school everyday because they are motivated and eager to learn. I love all of the different personalities and varying capabilities that walk through my door every morning.
My Project
We have some similar stools in our classroom and the students love sitting in them. The stools are comfortable and they hide under the desks to create more space in the classroom for learning. Please help us add a few more to our classroom.
The organization tubs will allow me--as a new teacher to become more organized in the curriculum.
With these new organization bins, I can become more organized as a first year teacher. This will allow me to prepare and have center materials at hand for the students. In my classroom there are students at a kindergarten, first and second grade level for ELA. These organization tubs will allow me to keep material organized for each unit in each grade. Better organization means more successful learning for my students.
The presentation clicker will allow me to switch presentation slides while moving around the classroom. I currently have to stand in the same spot to switch sides. With this clicker, I am able to walk around the room and assist students and not take the time to walk up front and switch the slide. This small technology resource will save a lot of time and allow me to be a more successful teacher for my students.
