Help me give my students a comfortable environment for reading. I have also asked for two sets of Magna-Tiles to give them a deeper understanding of shapes.

My Project

My students are hungry for knowledge! They are asking questions about our world every day that I can hardly keep up. You would never meet a more kind and caring group of kids. They help each other, even when they think I'm not looking, and are always willing to help me as well. It is my deepest hope and desire to fulfill their needs educationally, emotionally, and physically while they are in my care.

I am new to first grade and have been slowly acquiring materials as we go through the year.

One thing that I have yet to be able to provide is a comfortable reading space. I have several small round pillows, but that is about it. I want more than anything for them to have a soft space to land as they learn to fly through reading. Your contribution would mean so much to them.

I have also asked for Magna-Tiles. I have almost bought them several times, but I end up buying other things that we need. We are about to dive into shapes on a deeper level and I know the power that those little tiles have in helping little minds better understand spatial relationships and geometry. The creative spirit in my elementary students would gain so much with this hands-on opportunity.

The click and learn Math activity speaks for itself. I would love to use this kit during our Response To Intervention time to further develop their Math fluency. I love how the clips are two different colors and the visual is right under the number sentences. I think the benefit of using this kit would be innumerable.
