Our students are part of two 4th grade classrooms that consist of 44 hard workers who love hands-on learning! These classes are made up of regular ed students, special education students, and ENL students. We spend our day meeting the rigor of Common Core Curriculum with fun, exciting and engaging lessons that are full of interactive learning. Our school is part of an extremely impoverished district, and as teachers, we are doing everything we can to help bring new materials and experiences to our students that will forever change their educational experience.
It is common to walk into our classroom and see students being self-directed learners who collaborate with one another and preserve through difficult work.
They strive to do their best and even when faced with such adversity, show up each and every day ready to give their best effort. They couldn't make us more proud!
The students work hard and are dealing with some challenging situations outside of school. Let's work hard to give them the best education and opportunities at school that we can!
Having tables that allow students to easily work in a collaborative space together, as well as independently, would increase student engagement so much! These tables and desks would allow students to use expo markers to write directly on the tables when showing their work, and would give our classroom a collaborative feel that would encourage students to do their best. Students would be blown away by having these new tables and desks and would take such could care of the new furniture. We recently were able to get a whiteboard table and the students absolutely love it, so being able to give more students the opportunity to use that style table each day would be incredible! Thank you so much for considering donating to our classroom. We spend all day, 5 days a week in our classroom, and we want it to have a fantastic feel to it because our students deserve!
