This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I know that it is the beginning of the school year but I am truly in love with each and everyone of my students. They all have the most giving hearts. Each of them have a huge desire to learn from each other and to teach me a few things.
They are so energetic, respectful, cooperative and understanding with each other.
It is a miracle to watch them everyday be proactive and think win-win. I love supporting them in their extra curricular activities on the weekends or weeknights.
My Project
Everyone loves to have a brand new sharpened pencils. There are certain items I need for all my students to have at all times. The first is the plastic folders, this is where all their important paper and homework is placed and transported everyday between school and home. The colored pens will help the students write and make corrections. We will also bring back cursive writing in 5th grade! Expo markers are super fun, because they write on their desks to solve problems and I can see everyone's work.
All the supplies will benefit each child by making them feel confident because we all have the same items.
The storage containers will give everyone a sense of pride. They will be able to put all their glue sticks, scissors, crayons, headphones and other school supplies in the containers. The students love creating testing stations with the file folders. We draw, write positive words and phases in the file folders. So once anyone uses the folder for testing they are relaxed and feeling proud while taking the assessment. They will also be using them for putting their tests and other data to share with me or their parents.
