Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students live in an urban community and come from a variety of different backgrounds. Because of their living situations, most of my students are faced with obstacles out of their control. The students that enter my classroom are eager and excited to learn. Every year it is my intention to give the students that walk into my classroom a sense of belonging by creating a classroom that gives them structure and a stable learning environment something that some may not get at home.
My students are unique.
They possess many different characteristics that I enjoy learning about throughout the year. Like many other students, they thrive when they work on activities that are hands-on. I like to create as many hands-on activities and memories for them. One goal that I have always had is to build a relationship of trust with my students so that we can work on their potential to grow. Building a strong relationship with my students will help develop them into a well rounded young adult something that some may not be getting at home.
My Project
The students that walk into my classroom always show an enthusiasm for learning and can't wait to see what the days activities have in store for them.
But, unfortunately, there are many times that they walk into the room unprepared.
Help give my students a sigh of relief from something that is out of their control and won't effect them learning a new skill.
Classroom supplies such as dry erase markers, pencils, and flair pens help them with the different activities held within my classroom which also allows them to express their creative thoughts within the classroom.
Please help me give my students the sigh of relief knowing that they will always have a writing tool in my classroom and not have to worry about how they will complete the day's activities.
