This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember starting the new school year with your new school supplies?
I am very lucky to teach wonderful students each year.
I meeting my new students and getting to know them. Many of my students are not able to start the year with all the supplies they need. I would love, with your help, to have needed supplies in our classroom for those students who are unable to purchase them.
My Project
I am requesting some basic supplies for my students such as pencils and a pencil sharpener. Students go through pencils so quickly, and often lose them. I would like to keep a basket full of pencils available for them. My students need writing paper so they can create amazing stories and improve their writing skills throughout the year. I am also requesting Book Buddy Bags, so when my students borrow books from the library, or when they are working on a project, they have a safe place to keep their materials when traveling to and from school.
With your help, my students will have basic supplies readily available to them.
No student will have to worry if they forget to bring their pencils, or was not able to buy glue. It is so important that my students come to school and focus on their goals, rather than being worried about not having enough supplies.
